Carol Vincent is an award-winning copywriter and broadcast producer, Carol was creative director at two Island agencies and writer/producer at a major Vancouver advertising agency before founding Redbird Communications. Always a champion of strategy-based creative campaigns, she has an exceptional track record of generating online and offline results for clients in consumer packaged goods, tourism, technology, and government.

Gary Linford has applied his MBA to marketing challenges in a number of sectors, most notably finance and education. Previously a Sales & Marketing Manager in the banking industry, General Manager of a manufacturing firm, and most recently VP of Marketing and Recruitment at a private university, Gary brings creative strategies and a keen focus on business metrics to the development and defence of niche market opportunities.

Lise Murphy is a marketing strategist with 10 years of experience in consumer and B2B marketing and communications. She built her expertise at Loblaw Brands and the Royal Bank and while completing an MBA at York University and an Executive MBA program at Harvard Business School. She has built local, national and international brands in the financial services, consumer packaged goods, and high-tech sectors. Lise has experience in e-marketing, having been a project manager on the RBC team that launched both the first online real-time balance and reporting system and the first online ticket payment portal in Canada.

An art director and creative director with hundreds of successful brand campaigns to his credit, Patrick Derricourt brings wit and discipline to his craft. His depth of experience allows clients to enjoy the creative process with absolute confidence in the finished product. Before moving to Vancouver Island, Patrick worked as Senior Art Director at McCann's in London, England, producing award-winning work for many international brands.

Specializing in visual identities and collateral materials, Avril brings an elegant touch to corporate communication materials. She has provided award-winning design, layout, and print supervision services to major agencies and small creative shops in Manitoba and BC, and was a founding member of the Manitoba chapter of Graphic Designers of Canada.

A graduate of Pacific Design Academy, Matt Johnson gained practical experience in a photographer's studio and a sign company before turning his attention to marketing. His strong conceptual talents and design skills are complemented by a knack for photography and illustration -- a sophisticated wine label one day, a children’s colouring book the next. After hours, he's a drummer with a local rock band.

A combination of production expertise, meticulous multi-tasking, and sunny personality lets Carolyn Walker negotiate time and cost efficiencies on even the most challenging jobs. Over the course of her career in marketing, Carolyn has also established and managed internal and external traffic systems for a 35-person ad agency, as well as working in a supervisory capacity for a market research firm.

Jim Poole has been working on Macs since the late 80s and has extensive knowledge of the "big three" software programs -- InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Once the creative has been approved Jim touches up photos, enhances illustrations, resizes files to any necessary dimensions, and prepares the work for press or publication. He is also keeper of the Redbird archives, and the go-to guy for wayward logos.

Since graduating at the top of his class in web development and programming, Shane Vincent has specialized in Drupal, the open-source Content Management System that allows clients to update their own websites quickly and easily. The consummate "tech head", Shane is nevertheless blessed with the ability to speak plain English while briefing or training clients.

A meticulous copy-editor and proofreader with a PhD in English, Jacqueline has been doctoring copy for over ten years. She teaches university-level grammar and composition, and her own writing has been published in popular magazines as well as academic journals. Her editing and proofreading work covers a broad range of materials, from government and technical publications to tourism and consumer advertising copy.

For media planning and buying, Redbird works with Steve Hutchinson of Treehouse Media. For event management, Marischal De Armond of De Armond Management is our man. Retired fighter pilot Dave Wightman is the mastermind behind our proprietary Job Control software, and occasional IT troubleshooter. For our bookkeeping needs, we rely on Kathy Saunders, of West Coast Bookkeeping and Tax Services. Kathy is living proof that bookkeepers are not boring people, they just find boring things exciting.
